Borland Reveals Winners of BorCon™ Awards in Opening Keynote of 14th Annual Borland® Conference

Innovation and Excellence Recognized Before Borland Development Community

2003 BORLAND CONFERENCE, SAN JOSE, Calif. - Nov 03, 2003 : Borland Software Corporation (Nasdaq NM: BORL) today announced the winners of the company's BorCon™ Awards, which were presented at the Opening Ceremony of the 14th annual Borland® Conference. During the Borland keynote address, Dale L. Fuller, president and CEO of Borland, honored St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, NDCHealth Corporation, Dunn Solutions Group, Raize Software, Infragistics, Inc., and David Randolph of LearnQuest. Awards were presented to eight companies that best exemplify the ability and commitment to create innovative, integrated software solutions for the enterprise.

"After extensive deliberation over this year's BorCon Award nominees, eight stood out for their exemplary leadership, dedication, and expertise; characteristics that define the Borland development community," said Dale L. Fuller, President and CEO of Borland. BorCon Award winners are selected by a team of Borland executives, product managers, sales managers, customers, and development community members. Hundreds of nominations were received, and Award selection based on technology leadership, innovation, and customer satisfaction.

This year's BorCon Awards were presented in the following categories:

Customer Application of the Year

awarded to a Borland customer who builds an innovative application that is either used internally or sold to others. St. Jude Children's Research Hospital

Partner Solution of the Year

recognizes the efforts of a Borland solution partner in providing a solution for a third-party organization.

Technology Partner of the Year

recognizes the efforts of a Borland Technology Partner (BTP) in providing products (tools, components, libraries, etc.) that integrate with and add value to Borland development platforms and products.

  • Raize Software
  • Infragistics, Inc.

Learning Partner of the Year

Recognizes a Learning Partner based on the number of certified instructors, number of classes and students, numbers and results of student evaluations, and number of products qualified for instruction.

  • Dunn Solutions Group

Trainer of the Year

Recognizes a Learning Partner based on the number of products for which the trainer is certified, number of classes given, courseware evaluations, and student satisfaction.
